Private Medical Care

For my project, I have chosen to discuss whether or not having a private sector of medical care is fair to the public. I have taken the stance that it is fair, and that the public care is good enough to allow for a private sector that a large portion of the population will not be able to used due to cost. I am respecting the view that all medical care should be taken public by acknowledging that private healthcare is not for everyone, it should be an option that is available. I have also taken the discussion on from the perspective of the medical workers and how taking the medical system completely public would alter our capitalistic society. It has been brought up that there is so much corruption in the public system, it is not fair for some of the population to have the option to leave the public system behind and receive "better" care from private doctors, if they can pay the price. I have taken this perspective and looked it using a family friend's experience with her abuse of the healthcare system and how that system responded to help her; it was in fact sufficient. In exploring this concept further, I want to make sure that I address that sometimes the public sector is not sufficient, and that the public sector does have some responsibility to challenge the public healthcare to better serve the public.
