Camera zooms in on video
Briar walks towards sober-ato from safeway with a backpack.
Campus safety is waiting by the door of sober-ato
CS: What’s in the bag there little lady? Bought some alcohol in safeway? Are you 21?
B: No officer I swear I just had to get groceries and I didn’t want to harm the environment by taking a bag.
CS: I’m going to have to search your bag.
Briar: no officer I’m telling the truth.
CS: you don’t have a choice you have to do as I say.
Briar opens the bag to reveal tampons and a pack of condoms……
CS: Oh…. I apologize; you can be on your way now.
Briar: It’s not my fault SCU is Jesuit and doesn’t provide birth control or contraceptives to its students.
Briar walks inside.
New scene
Everyone is chillin is sober-ato lounge 204 Listening to music chit chatting and having a good time (no alcohol.)
Briar: So nick hows everything going?
Nick: I’m good just a lot of work for Monday that CTW class is busting my…
Knock on the door.
Gianmarco opens the door
Natalie (CF) is standing outside the door
Nat: We are hearing a lot of boisterous laughter and loud noises coming from this room, and there are rumors there might be alcohol here (lie cause no body would care to spread that rumor)
Gianmarco: No mam just some friends hanging out in my suite.
Natelie: we’re going to have to search your sweet.
Gianmarco: How is that fair you have no reasonable cause.
Natalie: we don’t need reasonable cause we just need to believe there is alcohol.
Natalie begins to search the room while everyone boos her.
She enter alex’s room and begins to search the room.
She finds very strange materials in his room…
She proceeds to do the same will all rooms embarrassing the owners with what she finds.
She ends her search in vain there was no alcohol.
G: I told you! You had no right to do this. This is wrong and is a complete invasion of privacy!!!
NA: I’m sorry but we have the right to do this and if you refuse the search campus safety with ransack your room…
Gianmaarco: this is wrong and we need to do something about it.
New scene
Maggy is a CF and is searching though rooms 204 trash in the dumpster to find alcohol.
Gianmarco walks in to through out more trash.
G: what are you doing Maggie? Why do you have our marked trash bag?
M: well gianmarco we mark everyone’s trash bag just in case there is suspicion of alcohol or drugs in the building we are able to search your trash.
G: isn’t that illegal or something?
M: no when you signed to go to this school, because it is a private institue not owned by the state we are able to rid you of all your rights as long as you sign for it.
G: so no matter what if I want to attend Gonzaga I lose my civil rights as a citizen of the US?
M: Somewhat ya.
G: this is wrong and I am going to do something about it!
And btw theres nothing illegal or against the rules in any of our trash so you can get out of the dumpsters now you freak.
Scene cut now a quick message from the students
Gianmacro: As you can see the conditions we are in is unacceptable and need to be corrected. The fact that they are able to strip us of our rights to privacy is unacceptable. Thank you for sharing our video now back to you guys at the news station.
News lady: Thak you Gianmarco
As you can see the conditions of these students is ridiculous and they need to do something about it, hopefully this school will understand their plea and reason with their students.
Cut to marcus in his living room
M: Dad that’s crazy they are monitored more than I could have imagined. You would think after our ordeal I would escape this type of treatment but it seems this fight is not over. People are still being treated unjustly
MF: but they are only doing it for the safety of their students, and the reputation of the school. They are keeping kids from alcohol poisoning and doing drugs.
M: at what cost though? These kids were innocent and treated like convicted criminals. They had no warrant to search or valid cause. This is just not right.
I’m going to go to Gonzaga and help these kids. Find a way to put the system on its head!
