Character 1(21): Nebuchadnezzar- Is a heavy marijuana user and has not held a continuous job after he left his parents’ home at age 16. He graduated from high-school and dropped out of community college. He is against all things religious and chose to protest the strict beliefs of Evangelical Christians at the National-Evangelical-Christian-Conference. Here, he met Eve and tried to convince her that his hippy lifestyle is better than her strict ways. Eve quickly fell in love with his aqua marine irises and his toasted brown dreadlocks. Always carrying a small joint behind his ear, Eve’s parents are not fond of him and he is fully aware of it.

Character 2:Eve – Is a small town goody two shoes that was raised by extremely conservative evangelical Christian parents. She was always homeschooled and never allowed to stay out past sunset. Upon going to the national-evangelical-Christian-conference Eve fell head over heels in love with Nebuchadnezzar and decided to leave home and start a life with him. Quickly after their escapade, Eve discovered she was pregnant. Due to her strict upbringing, Eve immediately disregarded the idea of having an abortion and instead chose to keep the baby. However after breaking the news to her parents, she was faced with a much greater problem. She now had to win her parents support.

Character 3: Dan- Is Eve’s father and preaches at the local evangelical church. He enjoys spending time with his loving family, and was egar to get Eve more involved in the church when he sent her to the national-evangelical-Christian-conference. Here, he hoped that Eve would finally realize how great the power of the church can be and he hoped that she would come back with a new mindset. His idea was not granted when he discovered that Eve had slept with one of the hippy protesters and now was pregnant with his child. Because abortion is against their beliefs, Dan hopes that Eve will place the baby in an adoptive organization run by Dan’s evangelical church. Eve is very against this idea and instead wants to keep the child.

Character 4: Mary- Is Eve’s mother who also comes from a very strict upbringing. She was born and raised in Utah and had a very religious mother and father. This upbringing made her more involved in the evangelical church and more against her daughters desire to keep her the baby.
