1) Bulletin, The (Bend, OR), Jun 24, 2008

This article discusses the significance of gas prices on how customers treat gas station attendants. While more of a social factor, this article shows how the attendants themselves do not make enough money to pay for the gas that they are selling.

2) United States Convenience Stores Industry Report; Aug2010, preceding p1-264, 265p, 10 Charts

These charts depict the entire industry of convenience stores as a whole. This information will be important in order to understand the workers in relation to the industry as a whole and what their individual roles are. 

3) Convenience Store News; 5/27/2002, Vol. 38 Issue 7, p93, 4p, 2 Color Photographs, 2 Cartoon or Caricatures

This article goes into the basics behind the standardized cleaning programs used at convenience stores by employees. Mainly, this goes through the training and safety procedures regarding the cleaning programs in the store.

4) Convenience Store News; 5/23/2011, Vol. 47 Issue 7, p60-60, 1p, 2 Charts

This article gives charts that show the total payments for the upper ends of convenience store management, including the CEO and Presidents. This will be useful to compare the payments of the upper levels of the industry to the payment of the lower levels. 

5) Psychological Reports, Vol 51(3, Pt 2), Dec, 1982. pp. 1219-1238.

This report discusses the psychological reasoning behind why convenience store employees steal from their stores. This will be useful in order to reason with the psychological factors that affect the minds of convenience store workers. 

6) Convenience Store Decisions; Oct2006, Vol. 17 Issue 10, p56-61, 4p

This article profiles the computer automative processes that have been added into the convenience store industry. It will make it easier to profile how well the systems work and whether they can replace the actual employees of the stores.

7) Journal of Services Marketing; 2007, Vol. 21 Issue 3, p186-199, 14p

This article goes in depth regarding the idea that employee satisfaction can lead to better customer satisfaction. This will be useful to relate the treatment of employees to the success of the businesses as a whole. 

8) Newsday, (Melville, NY), 02/07/2011;

This article simply describes the robbery of a gas station while the attendant was held at gun-point. This will be one of many examples to show the dangers of being an attendant.
