Occupy Wall Street

While reading chapters 11-15 I couldn't help but think about parallels to Occupy Wall Street. The social unrest in the book draws a lot of similarities to the OWS protests. Technology has played a huge role in OWS just as it did in the book. When Ange brought out the capsaicin spray can, I thought about Lt. John Pike, the officer who pepper sprayed protesting students at UC Davis. Even Marcus' verbatim words apply perfectly to that context of that incident. I always thought the pepper-spraying cop meme was pretty funny.
